Seven new Ryanair flights at London Luton

Luton Airport is to welcome seven new routes from cheap flights airline Ryanair later this year.

The carrier will start flights to Derry in Northern Ireland as well as to a number of destinations in France and Poland in October.

Three flights to Biarritz will operate each week as part of the new schedule and passengers will be able to fly direct from Luton to Rzeszow and Szczecin in Poland when the new routes start.

Flights to Trapani and services to Kaunas in Lithuania will also be added, taking the total number of routes operated by Ryanair at Luton up to 20.

"We are delighted to announce these new routes with Ryanair, which gives our passengers yet more choice of places to visit and more convenience for business travellers" said Natalie Raper, the airport's marketing director.

"The airline's decision to expand the number of destinations served from London Luton reaffirms the airport's ease of use with great transport connections and close proximity to London."

Luton Airport is celebrating 70 years of service this year charting its rise from Luton Municipal Airport to one of the UK's busiest cheap flights airports.
