From humble beginnings, the airline pioneered routes serving Scotland’s ‘Highlands and Islands’ and has grown to connect Scotland to the rest of the UK, as well as Ireland and Norway.
Loganair has been operating under the same name for 50 years, a rare achievement in an industry which is notoriously volatile, with constant mergers, airlines going bust, and new carriers popping up all the time.
Loganair also holds the Guinness World record for the shortest scheduled flight – which is from Westray to Papa Westray in Orkney and has a flight time of under three minutes!
Passengers flying with Loganair on the 1st of February were treated to a complimentary glass of bubbly and a cupcake.
