Service Management

The Service Management department run Skyscanner’s website and the platform that serves our mobile applications. They are also responsible for all aspects of Corporate IT within the company.

In Service Management we have a number of teams working to build and operate our website around the world and around the clock, and to provide for our staff in Skyscanner's offices in Europe and Asia.

Our Architects are responsible for designing the technology and systems required to deliver a site capable of operating out of multiple data centres around the world and serving millions of users on a daily basis. They work to ensure the site is secure, performant and highly available, and is built with the best match of in-house technology and third party services.

Our Infrastructure team build and run the network, servers and storage systems used to host the site. The latest private cloud technologies are used and the team are multi-skilled across the technologies in use. They focus on automated provisioning of systems and advanced real-time monitoring to ensure the platform is cost efficient and highly available.

Our IT Service team manage any incidents and recovery actions required when issues arise on the site. They work with development engineering and third parties to ensure all issues are tracked and resolved in a timely manner.

The Skyscanner team is growing and our Corporate IT team provide dedicated support to all staff, provisioning and maintaining the wide variety of computers and associated technologies within the Skyscanner offices.
