Hotels in Blackpool

Booking a trip to Blackpool? Skyscanner can find you great deals on Blackpool hotels.

Blackpool is Britain’s number one UK holiday destination and harks back to a time of simpler pleasures – well, almost. The whole family can enjoy the delights of Blackpool Pleasure Beach with its funfairs and stomach-churning rollercoaster rides, while the Winter Gardens offer grown up entertainment from comedy shows to theatre. Blackpool Tower’s Victorian elegance commands breath-taking views out to sea, while the three piers with their sun traps are the perfect place for catching some sun.

There are plenty of flights to Blackpool, but Blackpool hotels sell out fast during peak season but if you book ahead, there are great deals to be had. Accommodation ranges from caravan parks, self-catering and cosy guesthouses to the five-star Number One South Beach. The Sandpiper B&B, on the south shore, is just minutes from the pier and offers affordable comfort for families. As most hotels are close to the Promenade, sea views are a cert. There is an electric tram that runs the six mile length of the Golden Mile, for easy access. If you want to ‘splash’ out, Big Blue is a four star beauty near the Pleasure Beach, while the Grand Metropole , built in 1776, is the oldest hotel in Blackpool and the only one to sit directly on the shoreline for uninterrupted views.

Blackpool’s nightlife is a lively affair, conducted under the dazzling lights of the world famous Illuminations. As the sparkling light show gives the stars a run for their money, local pubs and music venues come to life. With fish and chips and shows by night, and candy floss, donkey rides and sandy picnics by day – this is the quintessential British holiday by the sea.

Did you know..?

Still in Blackpool to this day is the pretty electric tram that runs along the Promenade. Opening in 1885, it was the first of its kind in the world.

The biggest stick of rock in the world was made in Blackpool in 1991. It weighed in at a whopping 413kg and was over 19 feet long!

Blackpool Model Village is a hidden gem that is sure to put a smile on your face, filled with cute and rather quirky handmade models nestling among 2 acres of beautiful tended gardens.
