Hotels in Tenerife

Tenerife has always been a firm favourite with British holidaymakers. Due to its proximity to the equator, the weather is pleasant all year round. Whether you’re looking for summer or winter sun you’ll find it here.  Although Tenerife is often associated with tacky package holidays, there’s plenty to suit all tastes and budgets on this gorgeous subtropical island.

Family Holidays

The resorts of Tenerife are very family friendly, so if you’re travelling with little ones you won’t need to worry about them having a good time. Most hotels have swimming pools and playgrounds to keep your kids entertained, and many boast kid’s activity clubs too. Your little ones can meet children their own age to play with while you relax by the pool.  Get out and about with a visit to the Jungle Park in Las Aguilas, where you can see exotic creatures like tigers and meerkats. There are plenty of waterparks scattered around the island, but Siam Park in Costa Adeje is one of the best. The Thai theme lends itself well to waterslides, river rapids, and floating restaurants.

Luxury on Tenerife

The lush rainforests and clean beaches of Tenerife lend themselves well to luxury travel.  Get away from the neon lights and full English breakfasts of the resorts and head to Santa Cruz, the island’s capital. There are plenty of hotels to choose from in the city centre, just a short stroll from the city’s favourite tourist attractions.  Pop into the Tenerife Opera House for a spot of entertainment, or head into the mountains and visit the Casa del Vino La Baranda; a rural wine museum, restaurant and vintner.  You can still enjoy a luxury break in the resorts, of course. Tenerife is back in fashion in a big way, and there are a wealth of hotels in big tourist destinations like Playas de las Americas which boast day spas, volleyball courts, and fine dining restaurants.

Adventure Sports

Tenerife is well known as a destination for surfers, and there are some great places to learn on the South West coast.  If you want to try your hand at windsurfing and kitesurfing, the town of El Medano is the place to be. It’s played host to plenty of championships, including both the Professional Windsurfing Association and Professional Kiteboard Riders Association in 2011. There are plenty of beachfront complexes with golf courses and swimming pools for days when the wind isn’t right.  Whatever type of holiday you’re after, we can help you to find the perfect place to stay in Tenerife. Just look for the check boxes along the left hand side of the search results to pare down hotels by function. Spa or beach, business or romantic, whatever hotel you’re looking for we make it easier to find.
