Flights to Lamezia Terme

Lamezia Terme makes the perfect base for discovering Italy’s Calabria region (the toe of the boot). Calabria is one of Italy’s most underrated destinations, but it has everything you could want from a holiday destination: from white sandy beaches and rugged mountains, to great little restaurants serving up fantastic local cuisine. The city of Lamezia Terme has plenty to interest history buffs, with an ancient castle and the abbey of the 40 Martyrs, but its location in the centre of Calabria is what draws most tourists.

Official airport taxis can be booked from inside the terminal. The journey from the airport to the city should cost no more than €24* (about £17.85), but it’s always a good idea to get a quote from the driver before setting off.

If you’re planning on doing a lot of exploring, it’s best to rent a car. Avis, Hertz, Sixt, Europcar, Maggiore, Sicilybycar, and TargaRent all have a presence at the airport.
