It’s almost holidays but before most of us packed our bags to go home or somewhere else to celebrate Christmas, it was time to don our best festive outfits. Yes, it is Christmas Jumper season and at Skyscanner we actually love wearing our chunkiest, sparkliest and most creative ones to get in the festive mood.
After the success of last year’s Christmas Jumper competition, we decided to do it again and honour this very British phenomenon that has been fashionable for quite a while. Lots of the staff decided to join in this slightly garish fashion trend and the competition was tough.
But the unofficial winner of the best Christmas Jumper was won by our Project Analyst Alana Blewitt. She hand-knitted her very classy outfit for the day and accessorized it with tiny red baubles as earrings. With bonus point for effort and precision, she was hard to beat. Check out her outfit and see how detailed it is… Now confess, Alana, how many hours did it take you to create that masterpiece?
We had a bit of every Christmas Jumper style in the office: from geometric and patterned to very creative ones featuring Rudolph the reindeer, Santa Claus, several snowmen and all sorts of attention-seeking ones with enough lights to make this season brighter and more festive or even amigurumi red robins attached to them. Some of the staff even dared to don very Christmassy onesies or pyjamas, in an effort to win. Have a look at some of them and judge for yourselves.
Hoping you will be wearing your best Christmas Jumpers tonight… Have a very Merry Christmas!
