Air Nigeria started life as Virgin Nigeria, changing names in 2004. The first flights were to London Heathrow from Johannesburg. Air Nigeria is now a well-established airline that operates regional and domestic flights across 15 locations in Nigeria and West and Central Africa, as well as to many international destinations. It has a reputation of excellent customer service. Its headquarters are in Port Harcourt, Lagos. Air Nigeria is currently expanding its services to more African destinations as well as those in Europe, Asia and America. The airline has also won numerous awards for service.
Air Nigeria operate an online check-in system where you can choose your seat pre-flight and print your boarding pass avoiding unnecessary queues at the airport. You can check-in online 24 hours or up to 3 hours before you fly. There is an early check-in service that allows you to check-in at the airport as early as you wish on the day of travel. This allows you to print your boarding pass then return 30 minutes before departure to board your flight. You can also check in at the airport form 24 hours up to 2 hours before your international flight departs. For domestic flights, you can check-in 2 and a half hours before departure up to 20 minutes before take-off for Business class passengers and 30 minutes for Economy.
As with all carriers, there are strict conditions when it comes to how much luggage you can take on a flight depending on whether the flight is international or domestic and economy or business class.

Air Nigeria offer passengers complimentary meals and drinks as part of your in-flight experience. Business class meals include starters, mains and desserts as well as a selection of snacks. You can have anything from champagne to fruit juice free. Air Nigeria provide their passengers with complimentary newspapers on board as well as an amenity kit should you need to freshen up before landing.
